For over three thousand years, starting from the heart of the earth under Mount Amiata, vital sulfurous waters have gushed into the volcanic crater at a constant temperature of 37.5 ° C, making an underground journey of 40 years. It offers an unparalleled natural spectacle and important benefits for people who are lucky enough to bathe in it.

The thermal spring is unique and is just a few minutes’ drive from us, less than 3 km, in the municipality of Manciano (locality Follonata), within an area that includes the Club adjacent to the crater and the Thermal Park, in the context of the Terme di Saturnia SPA & Golf Resort.

After bubbling to the surface, these precious waters, initially enjoyed with VIP access to the Club, continue their course, gradually losing some of their temperature, first feeding the 5 pools of the Thermal Park, then becoming the Gorello stream, until they reach the evocative Cascate del Mulino (Mill Falls), about 4 km from our Resort.

The Cascate del Mulino Falls, or Cascatelle, are immersed in nature. Therefore, they are always open, 24 hours a day. However, given their world fame and the high turnout, it is preferable to visit on weekdays, early in the morning or even better in the evening, combining the experience with the contemplation of the starry sky.

During the long slow journey that the spring water of the Terme di Saturnia makes in the subsoil, it is enriched and mineralized with sulfur, calcium, sulfates, and magnesium. It is estimated that high concentrations of mineral salts are dissolved in each liter, as well as large amounts of hydrogen sulfide and carbon dioxide.
